The Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice (KICJ) successfully hosted two significant events: the '2023 Criminal Justice Policy Research Achievement Presentation' on January 17 and the '2023 Legal Policy Research Achievement Presentation' on January 25.

The Criminal Justice Policy Research Presentation encompassed four sessions: △ Improvements in criminal procedures, △ Evaluation of the criminal justice system, △ Protection of human rights and special investigative agencies, and △ Response to crime and victimization trends. Approximately fifteen presentations were delivered in four sessions. The Legal Policy Research Presentation was divided into two sessions: △ Fair economy and △ Coexistence & inclusion, featuring presentations on seven topics, followed by expert discussions.

President Ha Tae-hoon emphasized the importance of reflecting practical opinions in policy formulation and reiterated the need for re-evaluation and sharing of research outcomes for their meaningful use in future legislation and policy development.
