On May 2nd, the Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice (KICJ) held a preliminary meeting with the Jeju Special Self-governing Province Police Department (JSPD) to establish a working group for discussions on special judicial police matters.
The working group is designed to enhance the operations of Special Judicial Police units nationwide. It comprises experts from KICJ, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Civil Affairs Unit, the Gyeonggi Province Special Judicial Police, and the JSPD. The group's primary focus is on sharing best practices and expertise in investigations to promote mutual development and establish a cooperative system among the relevant agencies.
Additionally, the first official meeting of the Special Judicial Police Working Group is scheduled for next month. During this meeting, discussions will continue on strategies for effectively managing Special Judicial Police operations.
